O ANJO DROGADO E O FIM DO MUNDO
The death or the devil, the drugged Angel and the end of the world
Today I watched for the first time the series Supernatural. For about ten minutes cause I couldn't stand that bunch of crap.
Kill the devil ???... An Angel who lost his heavenly status, go deep into orgies and drugs ???... How so??My Catholic background is stunned - How can an Angel, who is a pure being, light years away from us in evolution, involve and even more - in so short time?
The devil is mortal? But if he is dead, who will we blame for our misfortunes?
It has been so much more convenient in all these millennia to blame the horned one rather than to take responsibility for our failures!
I watched earlier, at lunchtime, the news about the "end of the world," which once again was boasted and not fulfilled.
Isn't it easier to try to fix what we do wrong in / with this world rather than keep looking for signs that it is going to explode? Or make movies on which our civilization is or is to be eradicated by deadly viruses, Godzilla, meteors, earthquakes, etc, etc, as Americans make so well?
If an analyst from another planet were watching us would probably come to the conclusion that we, the earthlings:
- Are so full of guilt for our behavior towards our fellow human beings and our planet, that dream of being extinct.- Have so low self steem as humans that some of us sacrifice themselves and some others in favor of a better world. Or await the coming of a messiah. Or wait for the return of the Messiah to fix our mistakes, as we ourselves don't manage to.
Or repeat the same unchanging truths of the past two thousand years and that we haven't assimilate yet.
- We are a badly resolved breed without any sense of group, like the animals, that do not think about the collective wellness .
On the contrary - some segments of the population create barriers that discriminate others because they believe they are not of the "right"color, the "right" religion, team, country, caste, political party and a bunch of nonsense with which we should not worry so much - John Lennon sang so well.Maybe it is time to turn our gaze to ourselves, roll up your sleeves and work hard to build a better world. For the planet will not end, the devil will not die and * Jesus is not coming back.
*But if he does, may it be to bless our effort!
